Evelyn Kline Shea

Evelyn Kline Shea, 93, of Westfield, returned to her Heavenly home

 on January 14, 2022. Evelyn’s Husband, Alfred preceded her in death.

Evelyn was blessed with a loving family.  She is survived by her three children; 

Diane Shea Wohltmann (William) of Whitehouse Station, Linda Ann Crane (William)

 of Mountainside, and Kenneth Alfred Shea (Marlene) of Atlantic Highlands; five

 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Evelyn was born in East Rutherford on February, 2, 1928.  She graduated from

East Orange High School in 1946.  Evelyn worked for The Mutual Benefit Life

Insurance Company in Newark before marrying Alfred in 1953.

Evelyn was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Westfield for over 50 years.

Evelyn loved to play tennis, and golf with Alfred and her girlfriends.   She and

 dad loved to travel, and especially enjoyed their trips to Ireland and Australia,

 as well as the many states in the U.S., including a family trip across the country

 to visit the Grand Canyon.  Mom loved to sing and laugh, and make others laugh with

 her many jokes.  She also loved to entertain, and the family looked forward to

 her hosting Christmas and Father’s Day celebrations for many years.  Mom achieved

 the level of Presidents Club while enjoying selling Avon products for many years,

 largely because she loved the opportunity it provided her to socialize with her

 long-time customer neighbors and friends.  Mom also loved spending time and

 most summers at the Jersey shore with her family. 

Evelyn will be buried in a private graveside family gathering. The family gratefully

declines flowers and contributions, but prayers are welcome.
