Eleanor Jengeleski

Eleanor "Ellie" Jengeleski, 88, of Livingston, N.J., passed away peacefully on Monday, April 4, 2022. A celebration of her life will be held at Higgins & Bonner Echo Lake Funeral Home in Westfield, N.J. on Saturday, April 9, 2022from 930a-1130a. A Catholic Funeral Mass will be offered at St. James the Apostle Church in Springfield , NJ at 1200pm. Eleanor was born in Oakdale Pennsylvania, lived in Irvington, NJ and Union, NJ  and had been a resident of Livingston NJ for the past 4 years. She worked for the Irvington Board of Education for 25 years before retiring in 2003. Once retired, she enjoyed crocheting, making her infamous cheesecakes, watching her beloved Yankees and taking her fun-filled trips to Atlantic City! Eleanor is survived by her three daughters, Janet, Karen and Paula, and three grandchildren, Frank, Jennifer and Kelly. She is also survived by her sister, Pauline Fairchild of Randolph, N.J. and her brother, John Fatula of Hazleton, Pa.; as well as many nieces, nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army.
