Dr. Erik C. Leite

Dr. Erik C. Leite, 47, of Westfield, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, July 25, 2020.

The family will hold a private service at Higgins and Bonner Funeral Home on Thursday, July 30, 2020. 

Erik was born in Newark on September 30, 1972. He spent most of his childhood in Brazil and moved back to New Jersey during junior high school. He will be sorely missed by his family in Franco da Rocha & Santos, Brazil. He loved surfing, the beach, cycling, nature walks and most of all Star Wars. He was known as the life of the party and became friends with everyone he met.  He had a passion for science and purposeful education. He was an administrator for the Roselle Board of Education, where he used his leadership skills to act as a role model for the students of Abraham Clark High School. To quote a fellow colleague, he embodied what it is to be a committed and dedicated servant leader. All in, all sacrifice, all dedication, all commitment with no regrets. His most recent accomplishment was achieving his doctorate of education. 

He is the son of his late father Joseph Leite and is survived by his mother Elizabeth Leite, wife Rebecca Leite, daughter Monica Ludwinski, and son Jayden Leite. He leaves a lasting impression with many and is loved by his family and friends who will greatly miss him.
