A woman of noble character, Dora A. Cayado, 95 was called home to be with the Lord on December 2, 2020. She passed peacefully at home. She was the widow of Raul Cayado. They were married for forty years. She is survived by her three children and their families: Dora Kuznitz and her husband Glenn whom she lived with since January of 2015. Raul, his wife Veronica and two children Esteban and Natalia. Ana Lotito, her husband Tom and two children Cornelia and Joel. She is also survived by her brother, Rolando Boronat resident of Puerto Rico and his family. Dora was born in Jiguani, Oriente, Cuba and after marrying Raul, her only boyfriend moved to Santa Rita in the same province. She was an elementary school teacher as well as a piano teacher. In 1964 the family emigrated to the United States fleeing from Communism. They settled in Elizabeth, NJ. She was a communicant of St. Patrick Church until she moved to Linden. She and her husband owned several business: Center Floor, Cayado’s Grocery and Raul’s Coffee Shop. Dora loved spending time with her family and friends, knitting, playing the piano, painting with stickers solving Sudoku and jigsaw puzzles, She was a gentle, kind, simple and quiet soul. ¡Descansa en paz!
