Dolores A. Rush 

October 16, 1931 – December 10, 2023

Dolores Ann Rush age 92, passed away peacefully on Sunday December 10, 2023. She was a devoted daughter, loving sister, and proud aunt. Her smile, laughter, and sweet demeanor will be missed by all who knew her.

 Dolores was born 1931 in Newark NJ and grew up in the Vailsburg section of Newark. She moved with her mother Rose to Union NJ in 1978. Dolores worked as a customer service representative for NJ Bell for her entire career. In her later years, Dolores was a devoted caregiver to her mother Rose and aunt, Mildred Carlin. In 2022 she moved to Jackson, NJ.

Dolores is predeceased by her beloved parents, Patrick and Rose (nee Carlin) Rush, and her two brothers Raymond Rush and wife Betty, William Rush and wife Joan. She was a loving aunt to her nieces and nephews: James Rush and wife Deanna, Kathy Otterbein and husband Bill, Daniel Rush and wife Shawn, Barbara Delacruz and husband Vince, and Nancy Scott and husband Fred.  Dolores has 14 great nieces and nephews whom she loved.

Dolores enjoyed travel, antique collecting, singing in the church choir at St. Michael's in Union, cheering on the Yankees, learning about nutrition, investing, and spending time with her family. She was devoted to St. Thérèse of Lisieux, the Little Flower of Jesus. Dolores was a warm and lovely lady who always had a smile on her face and had a contagious laugh. Those who knew her would attest to her kindness in friendship, her warm personality, gentle nature, and witty sense of humor. She will truly be missed.
