Bernard R (Dick) Fallon of Orlando FL, previously of Mountainside, NJ, passed away peacefully on November 25, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on October 4, 1933, Dick grew up in New Jersey, earning his engineering degree from Newark College of Engineering (now NJIT) before embarking on a long and successful career with Westinghouse (later Phillips), earning several patents along the way.
Always a tinkerer, in retirement Dick could often be found in his impeccably organized workshop fixing one thing or another, when he wasn’t traveling the world with his devoted wife Alice.
Dick was a lifelong supporter of the Knights of Columbus, and prior to moving to Orlando was an active member of our Lady of Lourdes RC Church in Mountainside, NJ.
He was preceded by his parents, Bernard & Loretta Fallon formerly of Manasquan, NJ, wife Joan Matthews Fallon formerly of Clark, NJ, daughters Carol Fallon Kazules formerly of The Villages, FL and Susan Fallon McGrory formerly of Rahway, NJ.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 47 years Alice Starzynski Fallon, children Mark Fallon (Liz) of San Diego, CA, John Fallon (Diane) of Orangeburg, NY, Linda Lenkiewicz (Ed) of Orlando, Fl, Debbie Fallon (Rick) of E. Brunswick, NJ, Patricia Cady (Peter) of Sewickley, PA, Kathleen Nave (Jim) of N Stonington CT., grandchildren Ricky, Brian, Kristen, Emily, Evan, Elizabeth, Rebecca, Justine, Ken, Kathleen, Sam, Alex, Ben, Jon, Jessica, Michael & Katie, as well as great-grandchildren Brayden, Peyton, Austin, Ava, Ryan, Harper, Justin, Autumn, Artemis and Cameron.
Visitation will be on Thursday, November 30, 2023 from 4 to 8 PM at Higgins and Bonner Echo Lake Funeral Home, 582 Springfield Ave, Westfield, NJ 07090. A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes RC Church, 300 Central Ave., Mountainside NJ 07092 at 10 AM on Friday December 1, 2023 followed by entombment at St. Gertrude Mausoleum, 53 Inman Ave, Colonia NJ 07067.
