Dennis Joseph Illniczky

Dennis Joseph Ilniczky entered his eternal rest on January 7, 2026, in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 51. He was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey on March 20, 1974, to parents Dennis Ilniczky and Miriam Alvarez.  Throughout his life Dennis never met a stranger, he loved his community of people and created a family unit with friends he made along the way. He met his platonic soulmate, Jorge Heredia as young boys and grew up together; sharing 45 years together as ride or die best friends.  He is remembered for always having his group of friends near him, Jorge Heredia, Noreen Lennon, and Janice Valle.  His family remembers him as a good man, the best son and brother, an incredible friend, strong, compassionate, and always wanting to keep the peace. He loved music, at one point wanting to be a D.J. before he found his passion as a hair stylist. He enjoyed cooking, as well as busting a move down at a club where dancing filled his night. He always enjoyed a night spent inside with his brother, cracking jokes, watching W.W.E or the Dallas Cowboys game.  

He is survived by his mom, Miriam Ricker; brother Joe Ricker; best friend and soulmate, Jorge Heredia; nephew, Lucas Daniel Ricker; Aunt, Liz Laganas, Stephanie Laganas, (John and Steven); and his dog who was his baby, Micha. Along with his precious friends Noreen Leena and Janice Valley; their children who were like nephews; Joel, Matteo, Ethan, Tristen and Murphy.

He is preceded in death by his father, Dennis Ilniczky; grandmothers, Carmen Alvarez and Hilda Ilniczky.

Visitation will be on Thursday from 4-8pm at the Higgins and Bonner Funeral Home, 582 Springfield Ave, Westfield, NJ 07090.  Funeral services will be on Friday at 10am at the funeral home with interment to follow at Rosedale Cemetery, Linden.
