David Bentley Carson, or “Hamburgers” as he was more affectionately called, originally of Westfield NJ and most recently of Hackettstown, passed away suddenly on September 5, 2020 at the age of 35.
David’s ability to light up a room was evident even as a child, bouncing off the walls like Tigger, the opposite of his sister’s Eeyore.
A graduate of the University of the Arts in Philadelphia with a BA in print making, his spontaneous and charismatic outlook on life could bring instant joy to a room with a sideways glance and a goofy grin. David’s journey had many challenges, with which he struggled but fought with great passion.
David is survived by his parents Christopher and Carol Carson (Westfield), siblings Lydia and Andrew, grandmother Helen M. Carson, aunt Ellen C. Dillon (Patrick, son Alexander), uncles Robert (Elizabeth, son William) and Richard, and cousins Kristopher and Matthew McKinley. He is predeceased by grandparents Hamilton C. Carson, John and Louise Haines, aunt Nancy McKinley and uncle David A. Haines. He leaves behind his ever caring and loving fiancé and soulmate Megan Chuddley.
In lieu of flowers we ask that you hug your family, recognize that the “golden years” are right now with the people you love, and consider donating to the Appalachian Trail Conservancy to help maintain the trails at: https://donate.appalachiantrail.org/default.aspx?tsid=7703
His passion for live music and hiking brought David many places and much happiness, and in his memory we encourage his friends to turn up the music and dance.
