Daniel Francis Lynch, Jr. 87, passed away peacefully at home on Monday April 10, 2023 after a well-lived life. Dan had a love of his family, was an avid golfer, and long time member of Echo Lake Country Club. Born in Upper Darby, PA, growing up in Springfield, PA, was a graduate of West Catholic High School in Philadelphia, PA, a US Navy Veteran, and graduate of Northeastern University in Boston, MA. Dan had a long and successful career in the Garment Industry. He began his career at Dupont, and retired from Kellwood Company in New York City.
Dan is survived by his loving wife Betty Lynch, of 41 years. Dan's legacy will live on through his adoring family. He is survived by his seven children who will forever remember him as a loving father and role model: Dan Lynch III of Fanwood, NJ, Mary Jane Prybylski of Westfield, NJ, Dennis Lynch of South Plainfield, NJ, Elizabeth Gonzalez of Severna Park, MD, Katy Brown of Westfield, NJ, Sean Flannery of Westfield, NJ, and Dr. Todd Flannery of Pennington, NJ, along with their spouses Judi Lynch, Hank Prybylski, Isella Lynch, Mark Gonzalez, Dave Brown, Christine Flannery, and Jackie Flannery. A family man through and through, Dan loved spending time with his twenty-one grandchildren; Danny, Jennifer, Jack, Molly, Luke, Owen, Mack, Collin, Noah, Mia, Charlie, Lucy, Daley, Ellie-Kate, Trey, Ty, Ava, Gabrielle, Quinn, Brooke, and Paige.
Dan was the eldest of four siblings of the late Dan Lynch Sr. and Fran Lynch. He is survived by his two sisters Patricia Fennesey and Karin Letizia, and predeceased by brother Donald. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Dan enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, playing golf at Echo Lake, attending numerous games for his children and grandchildren, and was a master of storytelling at family events and parties.
Along with Betty, he enjoyed hosting many parties throughout the years, including St. Patrick's Day, and Christmas Eve.
Heaven for Dan will include reuniting with predeceased family and friends, a great card game, Yankee baseball, Giants Football, while waiting with unending love in the glory of God until we meet again.
