Christine Faraone Obituary

Christine (nee Fields) Faraone of Union NJ passed-away peacefully at her home on Saturday, August 14, 2021 with herloving family by her side. Christine was blessed with a long and meaningful 91 years of life filled with all the things she loved: spending time with her family, dedication to her faith, and vacationing in her summer home on the Jersey Shore.

Christine spent most of her career working for The Newark Board of Education where she served as the CEO/ General Manager of the NBEE Credit Union. Her work ethic was impeccable, and her reputation beyond reproach. She was beloved by the membership and board because of her resourcefulness as a leader and her willingness to listen to the needs of others.

Christine was admired and respected by many for her steadfast faith in Jesus Christ, being a beacon of hope for her family and friends during times of difficulty, and an endless source of love. She had a peaceful spirit and a gentle and generous heart. To others, Christine was an example of a committed loving wife, mother, and grandmother with a shoulder to lean on when needed and the best with whom to celebrate life’s most happy moments. Those memories are many and forever.

Christine was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Alfred J. Faraone, her sister, Doris Preston, and her brother, Ronald Fields. She is survived by her loving children Louis and his wife, Donna; Michael and his wife, Diana; Lisa Guida and her husband, Ken; and Sandi Santorelli and her husband, Ernie. She is also survived by her adoring grandchildren Christopher Faraone; Danielle Priest and her husband, Daniel; Anthony Faraone; Melissa Bliss and her husband, Joel; Lauren Guida;Jenna Guida; Peter Santorelli and his wife, Jillian; Nicole Santorelli and her fiancé, Victor; Alfredo Santorelli; Michele Faraone and her fiancé, Adam; and Andrew Guida. She also leaves behind four great grandchildren: Talia Faraone, Emme and Jack Bliss, and Seamus Priest. She is also survived by her brother- in- law John Faraone and his wife, Joan; her sisters-in-law, Florence Faraone, Rose Snow, Alice Chirichella, and Vicki Faraone; and numerous nieces and nephews. Her family and friends will miss her laughs, her good nature, and the relationships she built with all of us.

Rest in peace our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
