Carolina L. Garcia, a resident of Hillside, New Jersey for 51 years, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, July 11, 2023. She was born in Manzanillo, Cuba on August 10, 1928, and was a devoted daughter, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many.  Carolina was predeceased by her husband Senen D. Garcia, her son, Salvador J. Garcia and sisters, Asunción Campaña and Ana Manuela Garcia.  She is survived by her sons, Senen C. Garcia and wife, Renee, Jorge L. Garcia and wife, Aida, and her daughter-in-law, Cary Garcia. She is also survived by her sister, Manuelita Cespedes, and niece Carolina Cespedes, in addition her grandchildren: Heidi L. Banic, Senen D. Garcia, Jorge L. Garcia, Juan C. Garcia, Salvador J. Garcia, and Stephanie J. Loy ; great-grandchildren:  Salvador J. Garcia, Benjamin R. Banic, Angeli M. Garcia, Alexander K. Banic, Arianna G. Garcia, Charlotte M. Banic, Jordana A. Garcia, Zaraya J. Loy, Jorge L. Garcia, and Karis J. Loy. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews throughout the United States, Puerto Rico and Cuba. She spent the last years of her life surrounded by her family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 17th from 4-8 pm at Higgins and Bonner Echo Lake Funeral Home, 582 Springfield Avenue, Westfield, New Jersey 07090. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 18th at 10AM at St. Catherine's RC Church, 1000 North Broad Street, Hillside, New Jersey 07205, followed by entombment at Rosedale Cemetery 355 East Linden Avenue, Linden, New Jersey.
