Carol Agresto (nee Marks)

1944 – 2026

Carol Agresto (nee Marks) passed away peacefully on June 13, 2026, in Mountainside, New Jersey. She was 82 years old.

The daughter of the late Ethel Marks, Carol grew up in Brooklyn alongside her two beloved sisters, Edna and Eileen, with whom she has now been joyfully reunited. She attended St. Francis of Assisi Grammar School and Bishop McDonnell High School and earned her Registered Nurse degree at Kings County Hospital School of Nursing. 

Carol met the love of her life, Joseph, when she was just 13 years old. The two married seven years later and recently celebrated their milestone 61st wedding anniversary. Carol devoted her life entirely to her family, choosing to stay home and raise their three children in Brooklyn. She spoiled them with love, attention, and practical wisdom—always serving as their biggest cheerleader and constant source of strength. Carol and Joe were incredibly proud and loving grandparents to their ten grandchildren. 

Carol later moved from Brooklyn to Arbor Terrace Mountainside in New Jersey, where she lived for the past seven and a half years. Her family remains deeply grateful for the compassionate and gentle care she received there. Carol was inherently thoughtful and kind, and she cherished every single moment spent with those she loved. Whether visiting with her sisters or hosting a large gathering, she was always happiest when surrounded by her family.

She will be forever missed and eternally loved by her husband, Joseph, her children: Christine (Michael), Audrey (John), and David (Joan), her grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Madeline, Megan, Sean, James, Gabrielle, Caroline, Dylan, Jack, and Elizabeth, as well as her many loving nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.
