Brian Moore Obituary

Brian Patrick Moore, age 66, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2024, at his home in Mountainside NJ, surrounded by his loving wife and forever valentine Corinne and his 4 children. In his final days, Brian was lovingly cared for by Corinne, with the support of his 4 children, which brought him a sense of dignity, comfort and peace in such challenging times.

Brian was born on May 5, 1957, which his family celebrated annually as “Cinco De Bri-O”, to Harry and Mary Moore. Brian is predeceased by his mother, Mary Moore who we know welcomed him home with a hot cup of tea and a fresh pair of socks, his father Harry Moore who surely greeted him in his gorgeous rose garden, and his angelic younger brother, Kevin.

Brian grew up in Bay Terrace, Staten Island where he attended St. Charles School and Monsignor Farrell High School before going on to play football at AIC in Massachusetts.  He was a shining star on the football field, the kind of player you never forget.  Brian had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep, passionate way with just the right amount of humor and compelling charm.

He was incredibly humble and made genuine friends wherever he went. It was those qualities that helped him lead a notably successful career in Sales for Maersk & EFL.  His career path led to frequent world travels full of meaningful connections and lifelong friendships.

Brian enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his wife Corinne, his children and the beautiful life they built together. His love and generosity for his family was limitless. Over the past 11 years, he especially cherished the time spent with his 11 grandchildren in Long Beach Island, Vermont, on fishing trips, on sports fields watching all his grandchildren’s games, and really anywhere else he could live life to the fullest.

He was a devoted friend to so many and was always the life of the party; especially on St. Patrick’s Day.  Brian was very proud of his deep-rooted Irish heritage and was quick to hand you a perfectly poured Guinness, or the best homemade Irish coffee you’ve ever tasted.

Brian is survived by his loving wife of 41 years Corinne Moore (Duggan); his four siblings Steven Moore (Jan), Eileen Moore (Michelle), Richard Moore (Maureen), Michael Moore; his four children Shannon Aumenta (Carmine), Kerri Arpino (Salvatore), Kaitlyn Sacco (Christopher) and Kevin Moore (Nicki); his 11 grandchildren Kaylee, Elyse, Patrick, Leo, Carmine, Connor, Riley, Cristian, Teagan, Kevin, and Charlotte, and many other family members, who will miss him tremendously.
