Bethany Marie Lorenzetti

Bethany Marie Lorenzetti passed away peacefully on Monday, March 1, 2021 at the age of 42.  Bethany was born on May 2, 1978 in Pusan, South Korea and was adopted at the age of eighteen months by her loving parents Gerard and Deborah Lorenzetti. She was raised in Elizabeth, NJ and attended The Douglass Developmental Disability Center at Rutgers University in New Brunswick until she was twenty two years of age. For the past seventeen years, Bethany has lived and worked at the Devereux Pocono Center where she received exceptional care.

Bethany was developmentally disabled and non-verbal yet she managed to touch more lives in 42 short years than most people do in a lifetime. Many who knew her were influenced to pursue careers in special education. Bethany had a beautiful soul and provided inspiration with each challenging day. She had a ”Crew” of loving friends with whom she experienced many wonderful adventures. To know Bethany was to love Bethany.

In addition to her loving parents, Bethany is survived by her devoted brothers Matthew Lorenzetti and his wife Kristen, Andrew Lorenzetti and his wife Danielle and her sister Sarah Lorenzetti. She is also survived by many caring nephews and nieces along with countless friends. She will be sadly missed by all.
