Barbara Ann Oesterle

Barbara Oesterle, age 92, passed away on July 23, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Elizabeth NJ. She was raised in Union and Elizabeth NJ.

Barbara graduated from Saint Mary's High School Elizabeth NJ. Following her graduation she worked at Singer Manufacturing Company. 

Barbara and her beloved husband Herbert lived in Mountainside, NJ, where they raised their four children. 

Barbara is survived by her husband of 70 years Herbert, and their four children: Anne Howard, Lydia Wood, Mary Ellen Annis and Edward Oesterle, seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends and relatives at Higgins and Bonner Funeral Home on Sunday July 28th, from 2-5 pm. A funeral mass will be held on Monday July 29th, at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Mountainside, NJ. A private burial will follow in St. Teresa of Avila Cemetery in Summit NJ.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Community Food Bank of NJ would be appreciated.
