Assunta Criscitiello Obituary

Criscitiello, Assunta, 99, passed away on April 19, 2019 at Clark Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She worked for New Jersey Bell/Verizon in Newark and was manager at Federal Tax Group. She also worked part-time after retirement at a gift shop in Westfield until it closed.

Born in Jersey City on June 24, 1920, she was a longtime resident of Westfield.

She was predeceased by her parents, Antonio and Adelaide (Battiloro) Criscitiello as well as her sisters, Adelaide and Virginia.

Assunta is survived by her former brother-in-law, Richard Verdery, her nephews, Jackson and Matthew Verdery, her cousins, Modestino Criscitiello and Rose Longo and her friend, Robert Solimo.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, funeral services were held privately.

A Memorial Mass will be offered at a later date.
