Anthony Mirro Obituary


Anthony J. Mirro, Suddenly on September 30, 2019. Anthony was born and raised in NYC, moved to Newark in his teens and resided in Elizabeth for the last 50 years.  He retired from Schering Plough after 35 years of service as an electrician. Anthony is  survived by his devoted wife Arlyne Harriet Mirro ( nee Bryant), a loving son Michael and two adoring granddaughters, Mikaela and Haelina.  He is also survived by two sisters, Rose Anne Salzano & Donna Mirro, a brother and sister-in-law Terry and Joyce Bryant, a nephew David Bryant and a niece Laura Bryant. And a very large extended family. He was predeceased in death by his parents Vito and Florence Mirro nee (Marino). Anthony was an avid sports fan, enjoyed playing pool, spending time with his family, traveling and fine dining. He was also a veteran (Viet Nam Era)
Arrangements will be on Monday 10/7/2019 5 - 9 from Higgins Bonner Echo Lake Westfield. A Funeral Mass will be held from St. Gen's in Elizabeth Tuesday 10/8/2019 @ 11:00am.
In lieu of flowers, anyone who wishes can make a donation to the American Heart Association, Breast Cancer Research or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
