Anne Evangel

Anne Evangel of Union passed away at the age of 91 on July 24th, 2021.  She is survived by her son George, daughters Vivian and Despina, and her granddaughters Meaghan, Kara, and Shannon.  Anne had a very large family consisting of her five brothers Gregory, Costa, Aleko, Demetrios, Niko and two sisters Frosoulla and Andreanou.  Anne had twenty-four nieces and nephews now with their own families who all loved her very dearly.  Anne was predeceased by her husband Nicholas to whom she was happily married to for 59 years.  Anne was a hairdresser for over 40 years in beauty salons and various nursing homes.  Her priest at the time Father James Aloupis used to call her "The Magic Chair."  Anne was born in Nicosia, Cyprus and immigrated in 1950 because she was invited to America by her Uncle Costa.  She left her family and lived the American dream.  Anne loved everyone and was a true example of a spiritual "angel on earth."  "To know her was to love her!"
