Ann DeMaio Obituary

Ann DeMaio, 96, of Mountainside passed away peacefully Wednesday, September 28, 2022, surrounded by her loving daughters. Ann was predeceased by her husband of 69 years Thomas and her son Thomas DeMaio. She is survived by her daughters Alberta Walsh, Janet Maus, and Gina Rowe, daughter-in-law Susan DeMaio, 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Ann was born & raised in Elizabeth (Peterstown). Most of her life she lived in Cranford, where she lovingly raised her family. Ann was a caring, giving woman with a strong faith that helped her through many of life’s struggles. She always had a positive attitude and helped others whenever she could. She will be missed by so many who loved her and who’s lives she touched in her special way.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 30, 2022 from 4 to 8 PM at Higgins and Bonner Echo Lake Funeral Home, 582 Springfield Ave., Westfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at 9:00 AM at St. Michael’s RC Church in Cranford. Entombment will follow at Graceland Memorial Park in Kenilworth.
