Andrew James Baldwin, born the 5th of June 1998, passed away on the 24th of July 2023. Andrew is son to parents Diane and Andrew Baldwin of Scotch Plains, NJ.
Andrew attended Newmark High School from 2012 to 2016 and pursued a vocational internship program following his graduation. Finding his professional home in the IT department at Overlook Medical Center, Andrew served as IT Consultant for the past 5 years, where he greatly enjoyed assisting his Overlook community with all of their technical needs. Andrew treasured the friendships he made through his education, Special Olympics team, and work. The family is incredibly grateful for the community and these friendships.
Andrew (“AJB”) built lasting relationships with everyone he met. People were incredibly important to Andrew, and he loved sharing stories with family and friends. Andrew had a talent for games of any kind – including video games, board games and cards, and puzzles, and tended to be un-beatable. Andrew competed in Special Olympics track and field events including the 200m run, javelin, long jump, and shot put events, participating in County and State competitions each year and cheering on his teammates.
Left to cherish his memory are his parents Diane and Andrew Baldwin of Scotch Plains, NJ, and his sister Elizabeth (William) Schauer, of Forest Hills, NY. He is survived by grandmothers Ann Baldwin of East Greenbush, NY, and Elaine Lorenz of Charlotte, NC, as well as aunts and uncles Kathleen (Fritz) Schnackenberg of Moreau, NY, Dr. Karen (Kathryn) Baldwin of Hartford, CT, Stephen Baldwin of Danbury, CT, William (Carol) Lorenz, Brian Lorenz, and Mary Ellen Lorenz. He is also survived by cousins Adam and Ryan Schnackenberg, William (Heather) Lorenz, Katherine Lorenz, Brittany (George) Pearson, Brandon and Cassidy Lorenz, and Amina, Eliyann, and Safina Shakeel.
