Alexander Manuel Dominguez

Alexander Manuel Dominguez, age 11, passed away peacefully at home on April 30, 2018, surrounded by his loving family.  Alex was the son of Alexander and Graciella Dominguez of West Orange. Alex was a student at the CTC Academy where he enjoyed learning new things with all of his friends there.  Alex enjoyed the beach, the outdoors, music and so much more!  He mostly loved being with his family! 

Alex touched the hearts of so many. He was well known for his smile everywhere he went, whether it be at home, his school CTC Academy, St Joseph’s Church, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia or St. Barnabas Hospital. He made friends easily and taught everyone he encountered the true value of life. Alex was a happy young man that enjoyed his family and looked forward to bringing his family together with his smile and lively personality. He always enjoyed his Thanksgiving Birthday weekend. Every year Alex looked forward to spending time on the beach on Long Beach Island. Above all Alex loved his Papi and Mami. 

Alex leaves behind a large number of family, friends and loving nurses, who took such good care of him. He will be missed by everyone he knew. Alex was the grandson of Manuel and Graciella Jimenez and Frank and Praxedes Dominguez.  He will be missed by his Tio Manny, Tia Jennifer, Tio Andy, and Tia Margaret; and by his cousins Benny, Peter, Anthony, Makayla, and AJ.  He will also be missed by his little four-legged friend, Dandy.

Family and friends are invited to visit with Alex and Grace on Thursday, May 3, 2018 from 4:00PM – 8:00PM at Higgins and Bonner Funeral Home in Westfield.  A concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00AM on Friday, May 4th at St. Joseph’s Church, 44 Benvenue Avenue, West Orange, NJ 07052.
