Rosaria Benvenga lived life with love, passion, patience, and purpose. She has been a devoted wife to Frank, her loving husband, for 68 years. She treasured her daughters Josephine and Amelia Joanne, and sons in law, Robert Roy and Dr. Mitchell Turner. Her granddaughters Jessica and Jaclyn were her pride and joy. Rosaria had two sisters, the late Nancy and the late Josephine, brothers and sisters in law, and many nieces and nephews. She was a nursing assistant for 20 years at Elmora Hills Health Care Facility in Elizabeth, NJ.
Born on May 19, 1926 in Elizabeth, NJ, she resided in Kenilworth, NJ for 46 years. Rosaria passed away peacefully at her home in Scotch Plains on July 18, 2017. Her love of family was profound as demonstrated by thoughtful, beautifully handwritten notes and amazing home cooked meals. She will be deeply missed and in our hearts forever.
Visiting will be on Friday, July 21st from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Higgins and Bonner Echo Lake Funeral Home, 582 Springfield Ave. Westfield, NJ. People may gather on Saturday, July 22nd, at 9:30 am at the funeral home followed by a funeral service at 10:00 AM.
