Robert T. Brown

Robert T. “Bob” Brown of Cranford passed away peacefully at his home on March 17, 2019.  Funeral services were held privately. He was predeceased by his parents, Lucy McCaffery Brown and William Isaac Brown and his brother, William John Brown and his wife Adelaide. He is survived by his loving wife Joan Pace Brown of 59 years and his nieces, Dr. Valeri Brown and Arlene Brown Roscelli. Bob was born in Elizabeth and raised in Roselle. He graduated from Abraham Clark HS and Rutgers University  with a B.S. in Accounting. He was in the National Guard for seven years and was honorably discharged as a Staff Sergeant. Bob was employed by Esso Research & Engineering Co. and Masonite Fabricators as Plant Accountant and Office Manager as well as CBS in New York as Director of Financial Services. He later was Owner and Operator of Charles Chips Middlesex Distribution Co. for 20 years before retirement. Bob volunteered his time to Church of St. Anne for many years and was a Eucharistic Minister. He loved fly fishing and traveling.
