Until he became a Newark police officer, Dick marched with the National Champion Golden Knights, a youth organization sponsored by Blessed Sacrament parish on Clinton Avenue.

Judy, Michael, Brian and Tim, I am so very sorry for your loss. I used to live on prospect st and babysat for you boys. Judy, you and. Dick were great friends to my parents and Dick was a mentor to all the neighborhood kids. I remember him teaching me some self defense strategies and how to stand ( in a T position) to strengthen your balance. I neverbforgot that. My love to you all. Fran kehoe
