Pearl Kreiswirth Obituary

Pearl Kreiswirth of Union passed away on March 30, surrounded by family.   Born and raised in Elizabeth, she graduated from Battin High School and shortly thereafter married Allen, the love of her life; he predeceased her.  They had three children; Martin, married to Kinny; Barry, married to Stacy; and Howard, married to Suzanne.  Pearl is also survived by 6 grandchildren: Aaron, Nathan, Hannah, Zachary, Sarah and Emily, and one great grandchild, Celeste.

Pearl, also known as “Babe,” was generous, vivacious and loving, regularly called “mom” by the friends of her children, grandchildren, and her work colleagues.  She believed strongly in education and encouraged her children to challenge themselves. She always owned a dog and was a dedicated animal lover.  Donations to Companion Critters, (P.O. Box 5883, Clark NJ 07066 (critters.petfinder.org) are appreciated.

Pearl had a vibrant personality and was forever young at heart. She was unafraid to help anyone and spoke her mind.   For the Kreiswirth family, she was a pearl of great wisdom.

The funeral will be on Monday, April 2nd, at 10:00 at Higgins and Bonner Echo Lake Funeral Home, 582 Springfield Ave., Westfield (www.higginsandbonner.com). Burial will follow at Gomel Chesad Cemetery, 245 Mt Olivet Ave, Newark. Family will be receiving Shiva calls immediately after the burial and throughout the evening at 469 Ellen Street, Union, NJ.
