Patricia Lynch Obituary

                                               Patricia B. Lynch

March 10, 1936 – February 9, 2019

Patricia B. Lynch, 82, of Elizabeth, passed away Saturday, February 9, 2019 at Trinitas Regional Medical Center in Elizabeth.  Pat was born and raised in Swoyersville, Pennsylvania and moved to New Jersey with her family soon after graduating high school.

She met her husband, Frank W. Lynch at a dance and he knew he would marry her the first night they met.  While she stayed home to raise her five children, she was active in the PTA at Madison Monroe School and was a parishioner at bothBlessed Sacrament Church and St. Theresa’s Church.  She later began work at Fortunoff’s in Woodbridge and then in the Human Resources Department at National State Bank in Elizabeth.

Pat was an avid bowler at Jersey Lanes and a member of the Elizabeth Seniors.  She enjoyed bingo and their monthly trips to Atlantic City.  She and her friends traveled with New Beginnings, loved seeing plays on Broadway and was always up for a good game of Canasta.  But her passion was getting her hands in the dirt and gardening and many have commented on all the beautiful flowers she tended.

Her family was her life and they spent many vacations down the shore in Lavallette.  She loved swimming in the ocean and walking the boardwalk and there was always a puzzle being put together on the table. She was loved by all for her kindness and compassion.

Pat was predeceased by her husband of 47 years, Frank in 2004, her parents, Anna and Clement Mioskie and her brothers, Robert and Clement Mioskie. She is survived by her son, Michael and his wife, Angela and her daughters, Karen and her husband, Andy, Trish, Kelly and her husband, Ed and Kathy and her fiancé, Tommy.   The loves of her life were her five grandchildren:  Kelly Ann, Nicole, Andrew, Sara and Gabriella.  She will be missed by her nieces and nephews.

The Lynch family will welcome visitors Wednesday, February 13th from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Higgins and Bonner Echo Lake Funeral Home, 582 Springfield Avenue, Westfield.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Thursday, February 14th at 10:30 am at St. Theresa’s Church, 541 Washington Avenue, Kenilworth.  Internment will follow at Graceland Memorial Park in Kenilworth.
