It is with great sadness that the family of Nicholas Pappas, 71, announces his passing on Sunday, September 16, 2018, surrounded by his family at his home in Florham Park, NJ. Nicholas was born in Thisvi, Greece and immigrated to New Jersey in 1969. By trade Nicholas was a restaurateur, but his true passion was soccer. Later, he coached and mentored young athletes at Drew University, in Madison NJ, for many years. Nicholas is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Aglaia (nee Koundouriotis), his children Mia Piluso and Christos Pappas, their spouses Steven and Lisa, and his grandsons, or as he called them his “ethopioi” (stars) Thomas and Nikolas.
