Marziella “Margie” Mosco, age 91, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2019. She was born in Kenilworth, New Jersey on September 25, 1927, the only child of Mary and Ferdinand Rego of Naples, Italy.
Margie married Celestino “Chester” R. Mosco on September 5, 1948, and resided in Kenilworth their entire lives. She was predeceased by her loving husband on May 3, 2018. They were four months shy of celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary; a milestone in today’s culture that is worthy of admiration.
She is survived by her daughter Diana and son-in-law John Davidowitch, daughter Mary Ann and son-in-law Mark Raimondi, son Chester and daughter-in-law Patricia, grandchildren Nicole (Davidowitch) and husband Jason Smith, Mark Nicholas Raimondi, Cecelia and Christina Mosco, and great grandchildren Giana Diana and Anthony John Smith. Her Caregiver, Bella Abuladze, will remain in our hearts forever.
Margie expressed great love for all her family. Her greatest passion, other than caring for and spending time with them, was watching everyone enjoy her Italian cooking. Her life was simple yet filled with contentment, and she was blessed with her husband’s unconditional love.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Higgins and Bonner Funeral Home, 582 Springfield Avenue in Westfield on Tuesday, August 27 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm.
A Catholic Burial Mass will be held at The Church of Saint Helen, 1600 Rahway Ave., Westfield on Wednesday, August 28 at 10:30 am.
In lieu of flowers, buy some Italian bread, make GRAVY with fried meatballs, sausage, pork and brasciole so that your home is filled with the smell of Italian goodness, which is Marziella.
