Lorraine Del Negro Strollo

Lorraine Del Negro Strollo, 93, passed away on November 22, 2017 surrounded by her family.  The viewing will be on Friday, November 24, 2017 from 4 to 8 PM at Higgins and Bonner Echo Lake Funeral Home, 582 Springfield Ave., Westfield.  The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima RC Church in Short Hills on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at 11:15 AM.  Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover. Mrs. Strollo taught business and computers at Belleville High School. She received a bachelor’s degree from Seton Hall University and a master’s degree from Montclair State University. She had a great belief in the importance of education, a strong devotion to the catholic church and an unwavering love for her family. Born in Newark, she lived in Bitburg, Germany while her husband was stationed there in the US Air Force, then Nutley and Mantoloking before moving permanently to Mantoloking in 1991.  Mrs. Strollo was predeceased by her husband, Patrick J. Strollo, D.D.S., her daughter, Rosemarie and her sister Dorothy D. Hyde.  She is survived by her son Patrick J. Strollo, Jr., M.D. and his wife, Diane C. Strollo, M.D. of Pittsburgh, PA, her daughter, Lauren Mary Strollo, Esq., and her husband, Charles Beyer, Jr. of Springfield, NJ. In addition, she survived by her sister, Gloria Dowd, her grandchildren, Patrick J. Strollo, III, Hilary C. Strollo, D.O., Sara E. Strollo, Charles Beyer, III and Kristin Marie Beyer, and her niece Kate Havel and her husband, Jerry Le Pree. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory to St. Rose of Lima RC Church would be appreciated.
