On November 5, 2019, James Edward Marsh, 65, passed away at his home in Westfield, NJ with his wife Amy by his side, who was his high school sweetheart and wife of 41 years. James was born on August 1, 1954 in Manhattan to Rita and Edwin Marsh. A graduate of Lincoln High School and Brooklyn College, James was a hard worker who held various jobs before starting a long career on Wall Street, eventually fulfilling his dream of opening his own hedge fund. In addition to his mother and wife, James is survived by his two sons Kyle and Ryan, his sister Ann Heyman and husband Alan, his daughter-in-law Jaclyn Pierce, his mother-in-law Lorraine Goldstein, his brother-in-law Scott Goldstein and wife Elyse, his nephews Casey and Keith Heyman, and his niece Emily Goldstein.
James, known as “Jimmy” to his close friends and family, was a lover of Coca-Cola, New York sports teams, rainbow cookies, and above all his family. He was kindhearted, generous, and always a gentleman, traits that he passed on to his two beloved sons. His family wishes to honor his joyful life that was filled with hosting neighborhood barbecues, coaching his children’s sports teams, taking trips to the Jersey Shore, and, most recently, celebrating the marriage of his son Kyle to Jaclyn. James will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or Wounded Warriors Project.
