Elizabeth V. Gannon, “Betty” of Roselle Park, passed away on June 17, 2017.  Viewing will be held on Wednesday. June 21, 2017 from 4 to 8 PM at Higgins and Bonner Echo Lake Funeral Home, 582 Springfield Ave., Westfield. www.higginsandbonner.com A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at 10:00 AM at St. John the Apostle RC Church in Clark.  Interment will be held privately. Betty worked for Merck Pharmaceuticals in Rahway for 39 years in medical publishing. She graduated from St. Mary’s High School and Fordham University in 1946.  Devoted to her faith, she was a communicant of Assumption R.C. Church in Roselle Park. Betty loved reading, crossword puzzles and The New York Times.  Born in Elizabeth, she lived in Roselle Park 20 years ago. Betty also enjoyed spending time at Casano Community Center in Roselle Park. She is survived by her cousins, Barbara and whitey Pisaeno, Kathy and Herb Levens and their families and her caring and dear friends, who were family, Jackie and Vicki Bobish and their family.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Parker at Landing Lane, 501 Easton Ave., New Brunswick or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
