Elizabeth R (Horan) Fenton

Elizabeth R Fenton (nee Horan) passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday
morning of December 19, 2017. Loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, and best
friend. Elizabeth is survived by seven of her loving children: Colleen, Brian,
Kathleen, Brendan, Eileen, Maureen and Meghan; twenty-one of her
grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; her brother John F Horan and
numerous nephews and nieces. Also, near and dear to her heart are her loving
children-in- law: Julie, Greg, Dolores, Mini, Rolf and Phil. She is predeceased by her
husband, John P Fenton, DDS, her two sons Kevin P Fenton, Esq and Sean T
Fenton, DMD, her brother Donald S Horan, her sister Patricia E Fletcher and her
son-in- law Dennis L DiIorio. Born in New York City, Elizabeth was raised in Jersey
City, NJ. She spent her teens modeling followed by a government-appointed
career with the Internal Revenue Service, Newark, NJ prior to marriage and
motherhood. She was a longtime resident of Mountainside and volunteered with
the Election Board annually. She was a faithful parishioner of Our Lady of Lourdes
Church, was a member of their Rosary Altar Society and often organized their
North Jersey Blood Drives. Elizabeth was a true matriarch and the definition of
elegance, class, beauty, accomplishment and devout service; she is loved by many
and will be missed by all.
