Eileen Logan Obituary

Eileen Logan of New Providence departed this life on May 6, 2018.  She is survived by her husband Robert, her sons Andrew and John Logan and her sister Judy Spero.  Other survivors are her sister-in-law Mary Logan, brother-in-law Keith Spero,  nephews Daniel and Patrick Spero, niece Carolyn Spero, and her grand-niece Abigail May Spero.

Eileen was born in Elizabeth, the daughter of the late Stephen Yezdimir and Eleanor Yezdimir.  She graduated from Battin High School,  obtained her bachelor's degree from Douglass College and her M.L.S. from Rutgers. She worked for Midlantic Banks until she retired to devote herself to her family and children.

Eileen loved summers in Avon-by-the-Sea, Disney World in any season, Christmas, and her friends in the Delbarton book club.  She loved traveling with our friends and colleagues from Vasios, Kelly & Strollo on an unforgettable trip to Italy, enjoying every moment and enjoying telling everyone about it after she returned.  Most of all, she loved her family.  Time with them was her delight.   She will be missed by everyone who knew her.

The late Father Andrew Greeley wrote that our Catholic religion teaches us, "that we live in a cosmos that is finally, however oddly, implacably forgiving; that it is never too late to begin again; that there are always second (and more) chances; that is is possible, Ulysses-like, to go home again; that we will all be young again and all laugh again, that love is always and necessarily renewable; and that life is stronger than death."  In that spirit, we say farewell to our beloved wife, mother and sister.  Ave atque vale, Eileen.  Requiescat in pace.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate gifts to the Center for Hope Hospice and Palliative Care Center, 1900 Raritan Road, Scotch Plains, New Jersey.
