David K. Paschon

David K. Paschon, 84, of Edison, NJ, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 14, 2017.

Dave was a very devoted father, grandfather and brother, a very successful Insurance professional, and a passionate New York Giants and Yankees fan.  Having been predeceased by his loving wife Carolee Pierce in 1999, Dave devoted all of his love, time, and energy during the last 20 years to his family. He was involved in every aspect of his children and grandchildren’s lives, and took great pride in the shore house he built in Point Pleasant, NJ, where the family has enjoyed every summer together with Dave for the last 30 years.

Dave was born in 1932 to the late David and Frieda Paschon. Dave graduated from Roselle Park High School in 1950 and earned a degree in Business from Rutgers University in 1954. He began working as an Insurance professional with Mutual Benefit Insurance and was wed to Carolee in 1956.  Dave was also proud to have served in the United States Army.

Dave retired as a General Agent with Guardian Life Insurance in 1998.  Since that time, he continued to work on a part time basis as a Financial Advisor with Northeastern Planning Insurance.  He also served on the Board of the Woodland’s Homeowner’s Association.

Dave is survived by his two children Cathy (Brian) Daly of Westfield, NJ, and Susan (Jim) Alexander of Madison, NJ, brother Robert V. Paschon of Toms River, NJ, and four grandchildren, Tara Daly, Matt Daly, and Lindsay Alexander, all of New York, NY, and Olivia Alexander of Madison, NJ.

Memorials in lieu of flowers may be sent to Memorial Sloan Kettering or Wounded Warriors.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 17th from 4pm-7pm at Higgins and Bonner Funeral Home in Westfield NJ. Prayer service will be held Wednesday morning, October 18th at 10am at Higgins and Bonner with burial service to follow at Fairview Cemetery in Westfield, NJ.
