Barbara Strohmeier

Barbara Strohmeier, 79 of Scotch Plains, NJ, passed away on January 11, 2020.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 14 from 4-8 pm at the Higgins & Bonner Funeral Home, 582 Springfield Ave, Westfield, NJ 07090.  A mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, January 15 at 10:00 am at St. Bartholomew the Apostle R.C. church in Scotch Plains, NJ.  Entombment will be held at Woodbridge Memorial Gardens in Woodbridge, NJ.

Barbara was born in Brooklyn, NY, on February 14, 1940.  She resided in Carteret before moving to Scotch Plains 12 years ago.  

She had a long successful career as a bank officer in New York City working for both Chemical Bank and JP Morgan Chase.  

She is survived by her loving son Keith and his wife Karen; three grandsons, Henry, Sam and Miguel; daughter in law, Georgia along with many other devoted family and friends.  She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond, her son, Kirk and her sisters, Margaret and Linda.  Family was most important to Barbara and she especially cherished spending time with her grandchildren and entire family on memorable vacations.
