Adrienne Matejek Obituary

Adrienne Paige Matejek (née Forgach), beloved wife, mother, daughter, and sister, passed away on April 12, 2024, at the age of 50. Born on October 9, 1973, at the U.S. Naval Hospital in Yokosuka, Japan, to Gary Forgach and Shannon McCaslin, Adrienne's early life as a "Navy kid" saw her living in various locations, though she always considered Bremerton, WA, her hometown.

A 1991 graduate of Central Kitsap High School, Adrienne went on to receive her English degree from Western Washington University in 1996. Her career was a successful blend of her love for the fashion industry and her academic pursuits, allowing her to leave a notable mark in the retail sector.

On September 9, 2005, Adrienne married the love of her life, Steven Joseph Matejek, in Mountainside, NJ. There, they built a beautiful life together and raised their two cherished children, Vivienne Bernice, 16, and Grant Joseph, 14. Adrienne was a devoted mother, dedicating her life to the care and happiness of her children. Her family was the center of her universe, and she filled her home with warmth, laughter, and love.

Adrienne's impact extended beyond her family. She was a pillar in her community, volunteering for numerous organizations and touching the lives of many with her vibrant personality and generosity. Known for her unmatched knowledge of music and trivia, Adrienne also delighted friends and family with her incredible guacamole, her vivacious social spirit, and her gift of laughter.

She leaves behind a loving family: her husband Steven; her children Vivienne and Grant; her mother Shannon and her husband Jim; her father Gary and his wife Julia; and her brother Kenny and his wife Susan. Adrienne's spirit, enthusiasm, and joy for life will be sorely missed but forever remembered by all who knew her.
