Maria C. Perillo

Maria C. Perillo (Zollo), 94, of Cedar Grove passed away on October 25, 2017.  Viewing will be prior to the mass at Higgins and Bonner Echo Lake Funeral Home, 582 Springfield Ave., Westfield from 8:30 to 9:30 AM on Monday, October 30, 2017.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Lourdes RC Church in Mountainside at 10:00 AM.  Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Westfield.  Mrs. Perillo worked as a School Aid in the Cedar Grove Public Schools.  She was a member of the Little Falls Senior Citizens and the Rosary Society at St. Catherine of Siena RC Church in Cedar Grove.  She also worked as a volunteer at the local nursing homes. She was a very caring and giving woman who performed numerous acts of kindness in her life.  Born in Basilice, Italy she came to the United States in 1946, first settling in St. Paul Minnesota before moving to Cedar Grove in 1961.  Mrs. Perillo was predeceased by her husband, Mario A. Perillo and her son-in-law Nicholas Wellner.  She is survived by her daughter, Rosemary Wellner, her sons, Giulio Perillo and his wife, Mary, Leonard Perillo and Karen Quinlan, her grandchildren, Christopher, Tara, Daniel, Dana and Kristina, her great-grandchildren, Jacob, Gavin, Samantha, Dominic and Lucy and her daughter-in-law, Karen Perillo.  In lieu of flowers, contributions to The Center for Hope Hospice would be appreciated.
