JULIUS ROSELLI

Julius Roselli died Wednesday, November 29, 2017.  He was 93 years old, born in Elizabeth and a resident of Rahway for 65 years. 

Julius was pre-deceased by his parents Harry and Margherita Vallario Roselli and his beloved wife Lucy Carlino, in 1976.  His brothers Nicholas and Frank; his sisters Carmella and Mary; and his son-in-law Joseph M. Velotti.

He is survived by his daughters Margaret Velotti, with whom he lived with, and Patricia Egidio and her husband John of Somerset.

Also survived by his grandchildren Joseph JM Velotti of Rahway and Gina L. Egidio and her fiancé Mark Bowler of Washington, DC. 

Nieces and nephews Margaret Roselli Collins, Mary Ann Roselli Hrubic (Paul), Margarita Carlino Swick (Bruce), Virginia Carlino Soriano (Gerard), Joseph Carlino, Emanuel Carlino (Rose), Carol Ann Roselli, Michael Roselli, Frank Roselli, and Susan Roselli Bonnell.  Great niece and nephew Jennifer Collins Massaro (Marco) and Zachary Hrubic.  Great-great nephew Matteo Massaro. 

He will be missed by his dearest companion Josephine Egidio. 

Mr. Roselli was Vice President of Novo Motor, Inc, a family owned business for 70 years until his retirement in 2004.  The business began in Elizabeth and grew to Chrysler dealerships in Bernardsville and Morristown and used car dealerships in Rahway and Linden.  Julius was a World War II veteran with the US Army.  While with the 3705 Quartermaster Truck Company his battles and campaigns included Normandy, Northern France, Ardennes, Rhineland, and Central Europe.  He received the European African Middle Eastern Ribbon, the Good Conduct Medal, and the Victory Medal. 

Relatives and friends may visit with the family at Higgins & Bonner Echo Lake Funeral Home, 582 S. Springfield Ave, Westfield, NJ on Friday, December 1, 2017 from 4-8 pm and on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 10am.  Interment will be at St. Gertrude’s Cemetery, Colonia, NJ directly after services at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations in memory of Julius Roselli be sent to Holy Redeemer Home Care, 354 Union Ave, Elizabeth, NJ  07208
