Joan Taaffe

Joan Taaffe (Boylan), 93, of Westfield passed away on February 21, 2018. Viewing will be on Friday, February 23, 2018 from 4 to 7 PM at Higgins and Bonner Echo Lake Funeral Home, 582 Springfield Ave., Westfield.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 24, 2018 a 9:30 AM at Holy Trinity RC Church in Westfield.  Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Westfield.  Mrs. Taaffe was born in Liverpool, England and came to the United States with her husband Austin in 1954,  settling in Elizabeth.  She lived in Scotch Plains and Manahawkin before moving to Westfield in 1996.  Mrs. Taaffe was a member of the Holy Trinity Senior Social Group.  She was predeceased by her husband Austin.  Mrs. Taaffe is survived by her daughter Pamela Taaffe (Valerie), her son Philip Taaffe (Gretchen) and her grandchildren, William, Alistair, Rowan, Tomas and Alex.
