Korean War Marine Veteran of Elizabeth
James Joseph Gleason 85, passed away Sunday, January 22, 2017 peacefully at home surrounded by his loved ones.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Genevieve's Church, 200 Monmouth Rd., Elizabeth, 07208 on Wednesday, January 25, 2017, at 10:00am.
Private Interment.
James was born and raised in Elizabeth, graduated from St. Mary's High School and remained a lifetime resident. He was a retired sales marketing manager with Kraft.
James was a proud Marine and served in the Korean War.
He was predeceased by his wife, Rosemary E. Gleason (née Brodesser), father, James Felix Gleason, mother, Margaret Gleason (née Campbell) and brother, Thomas Gleason.
Surviving are his loving daughter, Lisa Ann Gleason-Heims and her husband James, sisters: Eileen Leone of Mineola, NY, Betty Ann Sullivan of Colonia, NJ and Jean Ebert of Menomonee Falls, WI.
