Isabel Capatides

ISABEL CAPATIDES, 88, passed away on Thursday, January 18th, surrounded by her children and grandchildren.  Isabel was raised in Ambridge, PA, married her high school sweetheart, Gust, who passed in 2012.  Isabel and Gust shared a wonderful marriage of 64 years and raised a family in Colonia, NJ.  Isabel subsequently lived in Edison, Basking Ridge and Watchung, while wintering in Bradenton, Florida, for 18 of those years.  Isabel spent the majority of her work career at Texas Instruments as an Executive Assistant.  

Her family, friends and all who had the pleasure of knowing her will keep her alive in their memories.  Isabel was a proud wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.  Isabel enjoyed life and was incredibly dedicated to her family and friends.  She was proud of her Greek heritage, and enjoyed all parts of the Greek culture, but especially the focus on family, Greek food and Greek music featuring the bouzouki.  Surviving are her loving children, daughter Joanne Pagoulatos and her husband, Peter; her son, Michael and his wife Laura; cherished grandchildren Alexis, Amanda, Christina, Danika, Gus and Max, and now great-grandchild Adien.  

Visiting will be held on Sunday, January 21st, from 1 to 5pm at Higgins and Bonner Echo Lake Funeral Home, 582 Springfield Avenue, Westfield, N.J.  Services will be at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church on Monday, January 22nd, at 11:00AM.  Entombment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Westfield.
