George W. Sturm

George W. Sturm, 68, of Bedminster N.J., passed away on March 17, 2018 with his family by his side. Born in Newark, N.J. On October 12, 1949, he was the son of George and Anna Sturm. He was self-employed as an owner operator for GDM Express before retirement.

He enjoyed spending time with family, watching sports and movies, and listening to music. He took pride in providing for his family and was an extremely devoted husband and father. He was also an avid NY Yankees and Giants fan. He will be remembered for his quiet, loving, and selfless character.

He is survived by his wife, Michelle, his son, Daniel, and wife, Erin, his grandsons, Matthew and Connor, and his sisters, Mary Ann Pinkos and Dolores Sturm. He is predeceased by both his parents and his brother, Joseph.

A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00-5:00pm on Saturday March 24, 2018 at Higgins and Bonner Funeral Home in Westfield, N.J. These services will be followed by a repass at the Westwood in Garwood, N.J. In lieu of flowers, donations in George’s honor can be made to the American Lung Association.
