Dominick Deluca

Dominick Deluca died at home on January 9, 2017 surrounded by his loving wife and family.  He was 85.  Born in Olivadi, Calabria, Italy on July 14, 1931, Dominick emigrated to the United States in 1958.

Dominick lived in Elizabeth, NJ for over 30 years and was employed as a machine operator by Burry Buscuits in Elizabeth, NJ.  Upon his retirement, he moved to Mountainside, NJ where he enjoyed time with his family and working in his garden.

Dominick is survived by his wife of 60 years, Rosina (nee Colacitti), his son Frank and his wife Maddalena, his two daughters, Lee Candelino, and Marisa Guisante and her husband, Roy, and by his brothers Rosario Deluca of Fords, NJ and Franco Deluca of Sardegna, Italy. Dominick is the proud grandfather of 4 grandchildren - Andrew, Dana, Domenico, and Nina.  

Visitation will be held at Higgins Bonner Funeral Home, 582 S. Springfield Ave. Westfield, NJ 07090 on January 11, 2017 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9pm.  A 9am funeral will be followed by a 10 am Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes, 300 Central Ave. Mountainside, NJ.  Interment is at St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia, NJ.
