Alexa Virata DiGiorgio

Alexa V. DiGiorgio of Westfield, passed suddenly on June 22, 2014. Born in the Philippines to Emelita M. Virata and Romulo M. Virata in 1971, and moved to the United States in 1987.  She resided in Jersey City with her family until 1994. Alexa attended Dickinson High School and graduated with honors in 1989. She went on to attend New York University and graduated in 1993 with a BS in accounting.  She married her loving husband, Marc A. DiGiorigio, on November 5, 1994 and was blessed with 2 daughters, Christina and Amanda - ages 9 and 4.  She enjoyed traveling, arranging holiday events and spending time with her family.

She and her husband owned and operated Neptune IHOP since 2010. Alexa was a partner with the consulting firm of Delloite & Touche LLP, New York, NY, since 2010. Prior to working with Delloite & Touche LLP, she was employed by Aberdeen Asset Management, Philadelphia, PA, as US Chief Operating Officer.  To date, she was a member of the Neptune Lions Club. She enjoyed being a member of the Friday Late Social Bowling League at Linden Lanes, Linden, from 1997 to 2005.

Alexa will be missed by her husband Marc A. DiGiorgio, cherished daughters Christina and Amanda, mother Emilita M. Virata, father Romulo M. Virata, brother Jedeon Virata, sister Judith V. Domondon, mother-in-law Anne C. DiGiorgio, sister-in-laws Dianne Virata , Dawn Cadet and Janine Siano; brother-in-laws Merreil Domondon , Randall Cadet and Kenneth Siano; 5 darling nieces, 1 loving nephew, special friends Mr. & Mrs. Scott Kiley and children; and so many loving family members, friends and co-workers.

Services will be held on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 between the hours of 3pm to 9pm, at Higgins & Bonner Echo Lake Funeral Home, 582 Springfield Avenue, Westfield, NJ.  Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, July 2, 2014, at 10:30 AM at St. Michaels Church, 100 Alden Street, Cranford, NJ.
